The coaching facilities at the Otago Golf Club are first-class and state of the art. Our all-weather Coaching Centre is sited on the driving range and features Silicon Coach video analysis and Explanar training aids.
Using our FlightScope golf swing analyser we are able to three dimensionally track your golf shots, which allows unsurpassed measurement of playing equipment. It is the ultimate piece of club fitting equipment.
Shelley Duncan
Director of Golf, NZPGA AAA
Shelley is a NZPGA AAA member with 40+ years’ experience in the game, the last 18 years as a professional coach and mentor. The Otago Golf Club is where Shelley’s roots lie, it is where she started playing for Otago and subsequently New Zealand. From those successes she went on to win a golf scholarship to The University of Oklahoma, which also included a couple of years on the United States mini tour. Following a successful outing in The Women’s US Open she made the decision to return to her roots and work to encourage many more people into the wonderful game of golf.
Shelley has a passion and knowledge for the game which is unequalled. During her very successful coaching career many have experienced the fantastic feeling of it all coming together. Shelley’s approach focusses on your technique, control and consistency and takes your game to a higher level.
Shelley works well with all age groups and abilities, she takes every opportunity to encourage more players into the game.

Michael Henderson
Michael is a fully qualified NZPGA professional, he has a passion for the game and has been helping players with their golf games for over 40 years. Michael has been coaching all over the world and is enjoying being back at The Otago Golf Club were he starting playing golf.
